The International Energy Agency’s Solar Heating & Cooling Programmme (SHC Programme) is committed to proving that solar energy is a viable energy source. To increase the world’s attention to solar energy as a source for heating and cooling, the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme presents a SHC SOLAR AWARD to recognize the work of those contributing to the expansion of this renewable energy resource.

The winner of the SHC SOLAR AWARD will receive a trophy and diploma to recognize their outstanding contributions in the solar field with connections to work of the Solar Heating & Cooling Implementing Agreement.

Award Nominations

The Award is open to individuals, companies, and private and public institutions from all over the world.

The prize winner will have shown outstanding leadership or achievements, with links to the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme, in the field of solar energy at the international level within one or more of the following sectors:

  • Technical developments
  • Successful market activities
  • Information

Nominations are welcome from members of the solar community, and should be submitted to the SHC Executive Committee member from your country.

  • SHC Solar Award Call for Nominations
    Deadline for Nominations: May 1, 2010
    ExCo members and OAs send your nominations directly to Doug.
    Non-members should send their nominations to the ExCo member of his/her country.
