IEA SolarPACES	IEA Solar Power and Chemical Energy Storage Systems Since 1977, one program of the International Energy Agency has focused exclusively on the development of solar thermal power and, later, also solar chemical energy systems. Known since 1991 as the SolarPACES Program, it brings together research teams and industry partners from around the world to collaborate on technology development.
