Coordination of Solar Heating and Cooling R&D

Overview

As the only project devoted solely to information exchange, Task 2 served as a useful adjunct to the joint IEA SHC research activities. The Task responded to the strong interest of the Executive Committee members in keeping informed about government policies relating to solar energy, R&D activities carried out at the national level and the status of commercialization of active and passive solar systems in IEA member countries.

In addition to exchange of information on national solar programs and priorities through presentations at task meetings, several survey documents were prepared under Task 2 on national programs, research projects, and solar commercialization status.
