Task 45 - 2nd Meeting

October 23-26, 2011 - Calgary and Banff, Alberta, Canada

Aerial view of the 52-home Drake Landing Solar Community.The 2nd Expert Meeting of the Large Solar Systems Task 45 will begin October 23 with a technical tour to the Drake Landing Solar Community in Okotoks, Alberta, 45 km south of Calgary. This will be followed by two days of Task meetings October 24-25 at the Banff Springs Hotel, 130 km west of Calgary. Task members will then participate in an industry seminar on Large Scale Solar Heated Communities in Calgary on October 26 with utilities, developers, and municipalities from across Canada.

Meeting Logistics

Baniff Springs HotelA block of rooms has been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Calgary for the night of October 22. Please ensure that you arrive by this date. The Hotel will act as a central meeting spot for all participants. On the morning of October 23 at 10:00 am, a bus will take participants from the hotel to Okotoks for a tour of the Drake Landing Solar Community, followed by lunch and a trip to the Banff Springs Hotel. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Banff Springs Hotel for three nights October 23-25. A meeting dinner is planned for Monday October 25. On the morning of October 26 a bus will take participants back to Calgary for lunch and the industry seminar.
