Compact Thermal Energy Storage -- Material Development and System Integration
April 10-11, 2008 - Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands
The IEA implementing agreements Solar Heating and Cooling and Energy Conservation through Energy Storage have supported the initiative to start a new task on Compact Thermal Energy Storage -- Material Development and System Integration.  The joint Task/Annex will work on researching and developing more compact thermal energy storage materials and systems, to be applied for solar thermal energy primarily, but as well for other applications, such as (micro) cogeneration and district heating.  If you are working as a materials expert or an applications expert for thermal energy storage and interested in collaborating in this task, you are cordially invited to join this Task Definition Meeting.

  • EUROSUN 2008EUROSUN 2008: 1st International Conference on Solar Heating, Cooling and Buildings
    October 7-10, 2008 - Lisbon, Portugal
    The Joint ISES/SHC Conference
Renewable Energies are now clearly an important part of the Global Political Agenda, as a result of the abundant scientific evidence on the state of Earth’s fragile ecosystem, underlining the urgency needed by decision makers to create clear targets for the implementation of more Renewable Energies as part of an overall energy strategy. To respond to these challenges, the Board of Directors of ISES Europe has decided to join forces with IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme to create EuroSun 2008 - 1st International Conference on Solar Heating, Cooling and Buildings, hosted by SPES – Solar Energy Society of Portugal.
